As an update: we had almost gotten to the point where we were going to put actual furniture in our bathroom, when the washing machine overflowed. It got underneath our laminate wood flooring, which apparently destroys the floor. The floor then had to be completely removed, along with the trim. We have bought identical flooring to re-do the project, but it is on back order for the next at least 14 days. I feel like we took a bunch of steps forward and then took a HUGE leap back. Super frustrating to say the least!
In other projects, since we ordered the flooring, we also went ahead and ordered the walls for Mike's shop. We are using drywall, but on top of the drywall, we are installing a durable paneling. The thought here is to protect the drywall from any dings a shop may cause.
We've also managed to finish tiling the bathroom floor. Now we just need to install the tiling in the shower itself, and install the other fixtures. Everything has been purchased.... just needs to be installed.
Lastly, I forgot to upload a picture of the completed garage door transformation into a shop with a French door. These pictures also include our landscaped/seeded back yard, along with our new retaining wall. So here you go:
