Hope at the end of this tunnel?

Since posting my last pictures, we discovered that without gutters rainwater pours into the finished part of our basement.  The good news is that the day we discovered this, the insurance company sent out people to clean up the water, take out the ruined carpet, and fix the gutters on the house.  They will pay to fix the damages from the tree and getting the trees on the ground, so that's good.

Mike had the week off last week as well, so he worked on taking out that moldy, rotten wall.  So in the basement, we are carpet less and wall less.  It pretty much looks like an unfinished basement.  Now Mike and I have to decide if we want to make any other changes to the basement while it's in this state because now is the time to do it.

He also found out today that if we can cut these giant pieces of tree into ten foot sections and get them to Eldon, we make actually make some money off the oak trees.  This will help greatly in our basement project.  Keep your fingers crossed that all works out because we do not have the money right now if it doesn't.
